The association voyons voir | art contemporain et territoire develops a network of artists in residence and visual artworks production programmes, in the whole PACA regional territory. The aim of this network is to link remarkable heritage places and natural sites with vineyards or factory (shopyard, tilery,etc), environment and mankind, through contemporary artworks.

The association gives the possibility to artists to take over the site in all its various extents, using the site like a tool. It gives them the necessary conditions to create original pieces of art, which acts in harmony with the natural sites and makes the public able to interact with them. 

Throughout the residency program and all the related activities, we promote a singular approach of landscape and a new vision of the current artistic works, by putting them in places or in identification and recognition spaces. Roaming is one of the basis of voyons voir | art contemporain et territoire proposition. That is why the sites of residency, production and diffusion are always renewed. 

Our philosophy is to offer the artists available places in order for them to live and work, so that they can enter into a process of research and creation. The association supply them with technical, financial and human support.

The invited artists are selected after a call for application, by a jury composed by professionals, chosen for their quality of their artistic approach and their ability to bring face to face and interact with sites and environment. 

The artworks created during the residency periods are shown to a public. That triggers a dialogue and gives a peer review of contemporary art and landscape.
