Never limiting himself to one material, Julien Nédélec plays and twists language and artistic codes. Using the OuLiPo’s heritage as well as conceptual art’s and minimalism’s one, Julien Nédélec starts with daily life that he transforms and comes up with some funny objects. When he first saw the vineyard, Julien Nédélec had been startled by its geometric design. The plants are creating lines, geometric paterns and meet at differents angles. Thoses design are like quotations of some abstract art pieces, that is a inspiration his work. For voyons voir, he is putting his energy in creating a viewpoint indicator that will be a sculptur as much as a base for creating other art pieces by scrubbing it with graphite. In 2013 Julien Nédélec had two personnal exhibitions : the first one took place in In extenso (Clermont-Ferrand) and the second at the Florence Loewy Gallery (Paris). Several public collection have his work such as FRAC (regional found of contemporary art) of Upper-Normandy, the Musée des Abattoirs, Arthotèque of Pessac, Arthotèque of Pau, the Cabinet du Livre d’artiste, FMRA and the CNEA (national center for engraving and printed arts).« Ici est où là est »
