Peu Ă peu quoique aussitĂ´t
Claire Tabouret chose to work around the mysterious figure of Isabelle Eberhardt. This author from the late 19th century, fascinated by the Orient made her life a roving, a drifting, an exile.Contrary to Odysseus, for her no question of going back home. She died engulfed in a flood which destroy her house during an unlikely storm in the desert. Isabelle Eberhardt, from whom we just have some really blurred and incomplete pictures, becomes under Claire Tabouret paintbrushes a figure always moving, evolving between feminine and masculine. She seems to be unsuitable as she looks dissimilar from a picture to another, metamorphosis as consequences of her travels. 2013 - Agnès b, Paris 2012 - C’était le printemps, Yishu 8, Pékin, Chine 2011 - Le carré noir, Amiens 2010 - Où est passée la journée d’hier ?
