Le bol et le bâton

On the site of the former Sainte-Marie church, Yazid Oulab proposed a sculpture. He set up a composition made by sort of inverts bowls in terra cotta, and clappers reminded the shape of Mesopotamian fraternity nails. The installation is swinging with the wind and creates a universe evoking the traveler of whom history is written in the clappers.

This artwork was realized thanks to Monier tile factory in Marseilles - Saint-André.

Yazid Oulab's works are also visible between May 18th and December 31st 2013 at the Centre Richebois - Marseilles. The artworks shown there, were created during a residency as part of Atelier de l'EuroMéditerranée.
